What’s going on this weekend:

Thursday, March 7th:

• Celtic Music Acoustic Showcase: at Pat’s BBQ. 6pm-8:30pm. Free.

• Paint & Pints: at the Westerner.  Create something special while enjoying food and drinks, then stay after class for free line dancing lessons. 6pm-8:30pm.. All materials provided. $30.

• Salt Lake City Stars vs. Texas Legends: at the Maverik Center. Starts at 7pm. Tickets are $35. 

• Live Band Karaoke: Be the lead singer of Utah's only Live Band Karaoke. At Club 90 in Sandy. 8pm-11pm. $5.

• Breaking Bingo: at Second Summit Cider. Free to play Bingo! 5 rounds of bingo with plenty of chances to win prizes. 5th round has a cash jackpot. Starts at 7pm.

Friday, March 8th:

• Salt Lake Home and Garden Show: at the Mountain America Expo Center all weekend. Tickets are $11.

• Spring Used Book Sale: deals on used books, music, and movies - most items under $5. At the Main Salt Lake City Library. 11am-6pm.

• Friday Night Throwdown: Hand-building, Small Box Forms. This is a great class for those wanting to try their hand in making clay objects or rediscover a past passion for clay. Visual Art Institute. 5pm-8pm. Class and materials are $50.

• Ladies Night: at Proper Brewing Company. Celebrate International Women's day with a women+ fundraiser benefiting Planned Parenthood Utah, Equality Utah, and The Refuge Utah. 6pm-9pm. Tickets are $5.

• Spongebob the Musical: Performed by University of Utah Youth Theatre. At Kingsbury Hall. 7pm. Tickets are $20.

• Spring Ceilidh: Grab your kilt and go to a Scottish barn dance. Learn as you go from the caller and live band! At the South Jordan Community Center. 7pm-10. Entrance is  $10.

• Utah Grizzlies vs. Rapid City Rush: at the Maverick Center. Puck drop at 7:10pm. Tickets are $18.

• Dancing with the Stars on Tour: at the Eccles Theater. Starts at 7:30pm. Tickets are $120.

Saturday, March 9th:

• Winter Farmer’s Market: at the Gateway. Local produce, meat, eggs, cheese, baked goods, sauces, condiments, chocolate, art and crafts, and much more. 10am-2pm.

• Black Owned Business Market: at Publik Roasting Company. Face Painting, Handmade items, jewelry, art and more. 10am-2pm.

• Millcreek Art Market: shop in the Public Market at Millcreek Common for arts and goods from local artisans. Enjoy interactive activities and make free crafts.11am-3pm.

• Clash of the Classics: at The Depot. Sisters of the Moon and Tombstone Shadow (Tributes to Fleetwood Mac and CCR) Drinks and dancing with a groovy 70s theme. Starts at 7pm. Tickets are $17.

• Nerdlesque - A Cosplay Cabaret: at the Salt Mine SLC featuring characters from all sorts or major fandoms like Marvel, DC, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, and more! Featuring aerial, pole, burlesque, chair dance, and more. 6:30pm-9:30pm. Tickets are $25.

• Bites & Brews Local Artisan Series: The Craft of Charcuterie. An evening of delicious local artisan food and Level Crossing Brewing Company beer pairings. At Level Crossing. Starts at 6:30pm. Tickets are $50.

• Fleetwood Visions:  6 piece Fleetwood Mac tribute band. Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center. Starts at 7:30pm. Tickets are $73. 

• Colorado Rapids at Real Salt Lake: at America First Field starts at 7:30pm and tickets start at $13.

Sunday, March 10th:

• It’s Daylight Saving! Spring forward! ⏱️

• Winter Urban Flea Market: Join every second Sunday of each month for the Urban Flea Market at The Gateway. 10am-4pm.

• IBU World Cup: Watch the Biathlon athletes compete at Soldier Hollow Nordic Center in Midway as 255 top biathletes from 23 countries converge in the western United States for three days of BMW IBU World Cup Biathlon action. All weekend.

• Long Track AmCup Final: at the Utah Olympic Oval in Kearns the US Speedskating Long Track American Cup Finals happen all weekend. Watch skaters from all over the world compete for the AmCup Champion title on the “Fastest Ice on Earth”. All weekend.

• Rocky Mountain Gem Show: free rocks for kids and door prizes every hour. At Church and State. 10am-7pm. Free.

• Sunday Night Comedy Show: at WhyKiKi. Featuring the Crowdsourced cast playing classic improv games based off your suggestions. 'Who's line is it anyway?’ style. Starts at 7pm. Tickets are $5.

• Adult Trivia: every Sunday night at the Green Pig Pub. 7pm-9:30pm.
