What’s going on this weekend:
Thursday, February 1st:
Trees and Skis: The Alta Environmental Center (AEC) is partnering with TreeUtah to offer an exploratory winter tour of the forest on the first and third Thursday of each month. Tour is open to skiers of all abilities and ages. Meet at the top of Sunnyside at Alta 11am. Free.
Doggy On Ice: Bring your pup to play on the Gallivan Center Ice Rink! 4pm-6pm. $10.50 per dog.
Breakproof: Jenn Drummond: Your ticket will include: a meet and greet with Jenn, a signed copy of BreakProof: 7 Strategies to Build Resilience and Achieve Your Life Goals, Q&A, and refreshments at Second Summit Cider Co. 5:30-8pm. Tickets are $30.
Sushi Roll Your Way to Romance: Join Classpop! for “Sushi Roll Your Way to Romance” with Chef Nate and learn how to craft amazing food! At Mountain West Cider from 6pm-8pm. Tickets are $55.
Meditation in Levitation: Lay back and "cocoon" yourself in a hammock style sound bath. At Synchronicities in Sandy. 7pm-8:30pm. Cost is $44.
Sound Healing and Journaling: These meditations are designed to reduce stress, promote relaxation and rejuvenation throughout the mind, body, and spirit. Space is limited to 7 participants only in these sound bath events in the selenite room. Thursdays at 7:30pm at Synchronicities. Tickets are $33.
Twisted Brothers Trio: Jazz and Blue on Thursday evenings at Prohibition. 8pm-10pm.
Karaoke: at the Green Pig Pub. Starts at 9pm.
Friday, February 2nd:
Groundhogs Day Treasure Hunt: at Solitude. Enjoy Groundhogs Day at Solitude with a treasure hunt on the mountain! Keep your eyes open for stuffed animals (and possibly some treats and prizes.) while out riding. All day.
Swing Into Networking: Great food, fun golfing & business connections. All skill levels are welcome. Topgolf in Midvale from 12-2pm. Tickets are $15.
Yoga & SOMA Breathwork Class: This powerful combination of yoga and breathwork aims to ignite your inner vitality and unlock newfound energy. 7-8:30pm. Class is $20.
Comedy Show: The Crowdsourced ensemble faces off in the ultimate improv competition. Each round performers are given challenges and awarded points based on their laughs. At Whykiki. 7-8:30pm. Tickets are $15.
Tropolis: This event showcases the finest in local House and Techno music, promising an unforgettable night filled with pulsating rhythms and immersive vibes. At Boomerangs Down Under Bar Millcreek. Starts at 9pm and tickets are $20.
The Pour at Hog Wallow: Local Salt Lake band, The Pour will be rockin' the place. 9:30pm.
Saturday, February 3rd:
Run SLC Race Series: RUN SLC Race Series is about having fun while stretching your legs after the winter, hitting some fitness goals, and forming good training habits for the rest of the year as you complete a 5k in February, 10k in March, and 15k in April.
Movies at Moonbeam: After a day of skiing, chill out (or should we say warm up) in Moonbeam for an afternoon screening of The Princess and the Frog. At Solitude. 3pm-5pm. Free.
Solitude Nordic Nights: Explore the beauty of Nordic and snowshoe trails by the light of the moon as hundreds of torches and candles guide the way. Warm yourself among fire pits while enjoying complimentary s’mores and hot chocolate. 6pm-9pm. Trail passes are $12.
Himalayan Film Festival: Meet Apa Sherpa, World Record Holder of 21 Everest summits. Enjoy 3 award winning films and a chance to win swag and raffle items! At the Courtyard by Marriott Salt Lake City Layton from 7 - 9pm. Tickets are $10.
Johnny Cash: The Official Concert Experience: at the Eccles Theater. Starts at 7:30pm. Tickets start at $55.
Mardi Gras Celebration: at Keys on Main. Dueling Piano show is joined throughout the night by the supremely talented George Kelly and the Keys on Bourbon St. jazz band. Tickets are $10.
Sunday, February 4th:
Wheeler Sunday Market: Indoor Winter Farmers Market is the perfect place to find everything you need to make your winter months both delicious and memorable. every Sunday from January to March 17th, 2024, 9am to 1pm. Free.
Sunday Brunch: Star Trek: Brunch film and see the very first film to show at Brewvies. Movie starts at 12pm. $3 Mimosas! Admission is free.
Yoga & Sound Bath: at Red Butte Garden. Bring your yoga mat and join instructor Kristin Vance of Fluid Heart Yoga in the Red Butte Garden Rose House for a flowing vinyasa style yoga class. Runs every Sunday at 10:30am. Tickets are $15.
Drag Bingo: Bingo starts at 3pm at Club Try-Angles bar. Bingo cards are $5 for 7 rounds.
Steve Trevino: Comedian Steve Treviño is “America’s Favorite Husband” at the Eccles Theater. Show starts at 8pm. Tickets start at $41.
Adult Trivia: Every Sunday evening at the Green Pig Pug from 7pm-9pm.
