What’s going on this weekend:
Thursday, January 18th:
Roundhouse Roundup: Take advantage of Solitude’s uphill travel and join Roundhouse Roundups on select Thursdays throughout the winter! Roundhouse Lodge will have extended hours and be open until 7:00 p.m. 4:30pm-7pm.
Sundance Film Festival: kicks off in Park City. Starting at $25 for single event tickets.
Trivia at Second Summit Cider Co: Two rounds of trivia each night, starting at 7pm and 8pm which means there are two chances to win! Grab a team and put those brains to work! Free.
Sound Healing and Journaling: These meditations are designed to reduce stress, promote relaxation and rejuvenation throughout the mind, body, and spirit. Space is limited to 7 participants only in these sound bath events in the selenite room. Thursdays at 7:30pm at Synchronicities. Tickets are $33.
Paint Nite: The Original Paint and Sip Party: provide are all the painting supplies: a 16”x20” canvas, acrylic paint, brushes, smock, music, and a good time. Tickets are $39.
Friday, January 19th:
Essentials of Indian Cooking Class: Chef Neeta will teach you how to blend aromatic spices to create the perfect balance of flavors in your dishes. At Salt Lake Culinary Education. Tickets are $100.
Trivia at the Thirsty Squirrel: Solitude Mountain Settle in for an après experience at The Thirsty Squirrel. 3:30pm-5:30pm. It’s free to play.
Soup Taste Off: Take your soup kit home and vote with the provided QR code before the end of the day. Jordan Landing Eaters Bakery. Pickup time is 4pm-6pm. Each tasting is $15.
Burlesque Show: at WhyKiKi. Show starts at 9pm. Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 at the door.
Psychedelic Expo After Party: Groove out with the experimental psych jazz trio, 3 Blind Mice. At the Odd Star. Tickets are $25.
All Women Comedy Show: crowdsourced brings you it's all women comedy show! Female improvisers and comedians make up the cast, but everyone is welcome. At WhyKiKi. 7pm-9pm. Tickets are $30.
DJ Pauly D at Sky: Sky is welcoming DJ Pauly D back to the stage Starts at 9pm. Tickets are $20.
Saturday, January 20th:
Winter Farmer’s Market: Winter Market features local produce, meat, eggs, cheese, baked goods, sauces, condiments, chocolate, art and crafts, and much more. At the Gateway. 10am-2pm.
Snowman Sugar Cookie Decorating Class: a fun day of sugar cookie decorating with 2 hours of in-person class instruction! 10am-12pm. Cost is $50.
Farm & Sun Solar Party: Celebrate our Sun and enjoy some fresh winter air at Wheeler Farm! Join the Clark Planetarium team and safely view the sun and sunspots through solar telescopes. At Wheeler Farm. 11am-1pm.
Fresh Flower Arrangement Workshops: Spend an afternoon at Red Butte Garden alongside floral designer, Alyssa Palmer, creating your own seasonal arrangement with fragrant fresh flowers. Red Butte Garden. 1pm-3pm. $100 including materials.
Winter Freeze Festival: his three-piece event will have a Winter Festival featuring Live Ice Carving Demonstrations by Swanivation and Amazing Ice Creations, Olympic Athletes, a Cardboard Sled Contest, Smores, and more this year. SoDa Row in South Jordan. 1pm-3pm. Free.
Third Saturday: Torn Paper Landscapes: Be inspired by iconic landscapes of Utah through photographs in UMFA’s latest show in the Modern & Contemporary gallery, then try your hand at your own landscape using torn paper and colored pencils. Utah Museum of Fine Arts. 1pm-4pm. Free.
Movies at Moonbeam: After a day of skiing, chill out (or should we say warm up) in Moonbeam for an afternoon screening of Back to the Future. 3pm-5pm. Moonbeam Lodge at Solitude. Free.
Solitude Nordic Nights (Staff pick!): Explore the beauty of Nordic and snowshoe trails at Solitude Nordic Center by the light of the moon as hundreds of torches and candles guide the way. Warm yourself among our fire pits while enjoying complimentary s’mores and hot chocolate. Trail pass $12. 6pm-9pm.
Onesie Bar Crawl: Join the comfiest party of the year. 2-3 Drinks/Shots included with ticket purchase. Starts at Twist. 4pm -10pm Tickets are $25.
Sunday, January 21st:
Drag Brunch: drag brunch and a locally curated clothing shopping experience. At Hopkins Brewing Company. 11am - 2pm. Tickets are $20.
Indoor Makers Market: Food trucks, artists, and vendors. Glitter Armada Co-op. 2pm-6pm. Free.
Divisional Playoff Watch Party: 60+ TVs and colossal 20 ft LED walls, savory game-day bites, and fellow fans. At Flanker Kitchen + Sporting Club. 11am.
Wheeler Sunday Market: Indoor Winter Farmers Market is the perfect place to find everything you need to make your winter months both delicious and memorable. every Sunday from January to March 17th, 2024, 9am to 1pm. Free.
Sunday Night Comedy Show: Crowdsourced Comedy takes over the Why Kiki stage! Scenes, characters, and jokes are made up on the spot, all based off audience suggestions. 'Who's Line is it Anyway?' style! Show starts at 7pm and Tickets are $5.
